Hallo, I am Kathick Perumal from India. After completing my Masters in Laser and Electro - optical Engineering. I wanted to do my doctoral studies in Germany, as it is one of the best countries to pursue research, as it has the finest and most sophisticated laboratories. So, I applied for a DAAD scholarship and luckily I got scholarship and now, I am going to do my research at Paul Drude Institute for solid-state Electronics, under Humboldt University Berlin.

As part of my fellowship, I am supposed to undertake a preliminary language course for two month. So, DAAD has asked me to attend the language course at Eurasia Institute. Initially, I was a bit worried, since I thought Goethe Institute would be better. But once, I started my course here in Eurasia, all my fears and worries went and I got a very good teacher, named Franciska. Now I am more confident about my language and I should thank  Eurasia for their intensive and well organised classes.

Apart from this, they also helped all DAAD scholarship holders to open a bank account in Deutsche Bank, which would have been difficult, if we had done it ourselves.

They also helped us in doing Police registration and in extending the Visa. As all these applications were in German, a newcomer will find it difficult to do it by himself and I didn’t find any of these difficulties in Eurasia, as Tom took care of all these formalities.

Last but not at least is that, the German teachers are very good and the way they teach makes one interested, even if they did not have the eagerness to learn before.
