Praveen Kumar
from India
Hello folks, I am Praveen Kumar (26) from India. I came to Germany through DAAD Sandwich model fellowship for 1 year. I am pursuing my Ph.D. from IIT Bombay, India. I came abroad to carryout my research studies, first of all to have an international exposure. But why Germany...!!. Because, I heard great about their work culture, punctuality, their approach to solve any problem etc., and I heard no wrong about them. Still more to explore …..!! Coming to my German language institute, “EURASIA”, it is more than just a language school. Right from the first step on this land till date, EURASIA is with me in all respects. Starting from…. bringing me to the respective accommodation, I was well taken care of. They brought even ‘Bank officials to us, conducted presentations on how to fill a VISA extension form, completed police verification on behalf of us, what not…they even provided us with the utensils useful for our routine. Every weekend there will be some sort of cultural activity goes on, to get rid off the last week’s work pressure and make us ready for the next week’s schedule. Regarding the language course I have something to say. Being a social animal (Human beings) we need to communicate with each other in our daily life. One of the best means for the communication is LANGUAGE. In our daily busy and hectic life…. communication should not be a hurdle for us and language acts as a tool to overcome that hurdle. The teaching faculty in EURASIA helps us learn to utilize that tool in a very efficient and in a very simple manner. German language needs more and more practice to cope up with. Here the faculty is down to Earth. They involve in the subject and in the characters of the lessons. Their tolerance level is very high. To be frank, first of all I thought why I am learning this difficult language, if I should….can I get on with it, and so on….!! But the complexity in the language, the painstaking teaching of our tutors and their approach slowly attracted me to one of the well structured languages in the world. Irrespective to strength of the class, we get personal attention and guidance. In this respect, I cannot stop myself to describe our Lehrerin, “Ms. Tanja Böhle.”, one of the finest lecturers I have ever seen. The way she starts the topic, explaining and injecting the complex grammar into our minds, correcting our mistakes and all. Especially I adore her patience level. The time just passes by in her class (of course with good knowledge about the subject….JJ). The non-teaching staff is so friendly and helpful that you don’t feel anything missing to lead a peaceful life on this foreign land. I feel like more or less home in here. Everywhere smiley faces and helping minds. Thanks to DAAD and my lovely institute (home) EURASIA. |
