It is also spoken however in Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Cyprus and Greece. Turkish was heavily influenced by Arabic and Persian, and also by French from the 20th century onwards.
