Work and Study in Germany |
All overseas students have the possibility of working during their university studies in Germany. EURASIA supports overseas students with university placement in Germany. At the same time, our team also assists all students with the application for a work permit on arrival in Germany.
-
Overseas students who come to Germany on a student visa may work for 90 whole days or 180 half-days per year, even during the language course preparing for university studies. This is equivalent to approximately 20 hours per week.
-
the first 50 days are completely free of any contributions to social security or state health insurance
-
After successful completion of your full-time university studies in Germany, you are, as an overseas academic, entitled to remain in Germany for one year after graduation in order to look for regular employment in a German company.
-
Furthermore, after three years it is possible to apply for a long-term residence permit if the employer specifically advocates the same and the employee is also in agreement.
Important Note: During the German course in preparation for university studies as well as the preparation course at Foundation College, students should focus their full attention on learning the German language and reduce part-time work to an absolute minimum.
